Christmas Lunch 2013

The annual Christmas Lunch was held on the 18th of December 2013 for all Ron Smith Care Centre Residents.
It was a fantastic day and a big thank you to all involved in this very special event.

Birthday no: 100

"100 years of memories and 100 years of life...You are very special and surely honour is due for all the great experiences that life has given you."
A very big congratulations to Mrs. Winifred Raynham of Cedar Park who celebrated her 100th birthday on the 18th of December 2013.
Thank you to all the Cedar Park staff for making her day special!

Update: OT Renovation

We are all very excited about our new OT Centre. It now just needs a name... any suggestions?

Magnificent Volunteers!

Without Volunteers it would be impossible for Person-Centered Care to be a reality at Ron Smith Care Centre. Our Volunteers really are magnificent! They have love and compassion for our residents and brighten up our lives everyday!
On the 9th of December we said thank you to our Volunteers at a special afternoon tea.

Our Occupational Therapy Technicians (Salina and Dinah) recently started make-up groups for our residents and they just love being pampered.

Christmas Decorations Competition

On the 28th of November we held a Christmas decorations competition. The staff were invited to make their unit look the most festive. There were strong competition from Lakeside and Riverlodge 3 however in the end Woodlands were crowned the 2013 winners.
All Woodlands staff were treated to a Special Tea on the 11th and 13th of December.
